IMPORTANCE OF HEMOGLOBIN DURING PREGNANCY

As an expectant mother you have take care of your hemoglobin level more because your body undergo various changes during your pregnancy. Dropping hemoglobin level affects you and your baby during pregnancy. The proper hemoglobin level is very important for development of fetus.

Hemoglobin is very important for healthy pregnancy. Hemoglobin is iron-rich protein present in red blood cells and it is responsible for carrying oxygen throughout the body. That’s why it is very important to maintain normal level of hemoglobin in your blood for you and your baby to function properly.

So to maintain hemoglobin in your blood you have to eat iron-rich food, foods rich in folic acid and vitamin c.

Here are some foods to boost hemoglobin levels during pregnancy.

1       Fresh fruits :-

Pomegranate – eating pomegranate helps in increasing hemoglobin levels because it is fully loaded with iron content naturally.

Apple – an apple a day can help in maintain normal level of hemoglobin since apples are rich in iron and other health friendly components that are required for healthy hemoglobin count. So eat one apple daily.
